I need more than two mini splits. Probably 4 on second floor, 3 or 4 on first floor and maybe one in basement. I was looking at 8 mini splits total, 2, 2.5 ton compresors? Not sure if 4 x 2 unit systems makes sense.

I’m curious how your rubber flooring is holding up? Is it easy to take care of? Do you remember what thickness you ordered? The link from the gym reveal goes to 1/4”, 8mm, 3/8”, 1/2” and 3/4” options.

Hi! Can you hang the outside part on an upper exterior wall? I need to heat and cool potential space on second floor of Tudor revival house. I do have access to an exterior wall but the driveway is adjacent to it (city dweller!) and no room on ground. Thanks for any info you can give me.

In reply to Wendy. I’m sure every install price is different depending on your home’s needs. I recently had a two head Quilt installed by GreenSavers and it was just over $12K. We will get a $2K tax credit which expires at the end of 2025. (FYI The work must be completed before the end of the year to receive the credit.) We were quoted $10k for a Mitsubishi two-head system, which also came with a rebate from Mitsubishi, so after rebate and tax credit we would have paid around $7000 for that but opted for the much sleeker Quilt. Time will tell if it is built to last, but GreenSavers stands by it and I trust them.

We installed a couple of mini splits in our house last year, so I get the desire to have them blend in better. The only thing I wonder about is the face covering looks like it would block the louvers in the head? We have adjusted the louvers a few times to aim the blowing (wafting?) air to better spots in the room and to adjust up and down as well.

Oh, I am SO bummed I didnt know about this 6 months ago! I just installed 2 very ugly mini splits in a basement remodel and they make me so upset when I see them and there is nothing I can do about them. 🙁 But I am glad the market is finally adapting and giving us form and function!

So great to see form and function intersect so both comfort and aesthetics meet.

I appreciate the profile of the exterior unit and I wondered if EHD might consider a future post on camouflaging air conditioning units in the landscape. I think I qualify as lazy on problem solving this issue and would love creative inspiration.

Is there a not-terrible baseboard heater or baseboard heater alternative on the market? Ours are ugly and clunky.

We have used the Mr. Cool units multiple times and been very happy with them.
