I too breathed a sigh of relief when I saw this latest setup! The cream sectional looks so much better to me than anything you’ve tried so far. I think some other readers have noted that the room felt like there were too many interesting things to look at and no real focal point. This lets your eye rest. But it’s your house, so of course I hope you do what you and your family & guests enjoy the most. 🙂 That one sectional has more seating than my whole living room for my family of six, so I suppose it’s all a matter of perspective.

Double Alice with the gold chairs. Grounding, super comfy with a touch of elegance, and I love how they speak to the green outside and the wood in the house.

So many good options.

I would love to see a big sofa facing the fireplace and 2 matching big chairs angled-in facing the sofa. It could allow for more seating, conversation, and symmetry.

Another idea, I’d love to see this room styled multiple ways (traditional, minimalist (plz), maximalist, etc.) I think it could be a great opportunity to showcase your treasures and inspire readers (me). Especially for those of us with character-less homes that need furniture/accessories to define a “style.”

I prefer #1 with the original green sofas facing each other — the green is a cooler green than in #2. The Barb sofa colors are pretty, and very you, Emily, but as a pass through room, I think there needs to be more symmetry. Agree with you that #4 would be perfect for the room if facing a TV. That said, no matter which option you choose, they all look very pretty and cozy.
